Houston Trauma LINK (Linking Information Networking Knowledge)

Houston Trauma LINK is a local coalition formed in 2000 to reduce the morbidity and mortality of childhood injuries in Houston/Harris County, Texas through sharing information, data and expertise. Baylor College of Medicine is the coordinating institution.
Mission/Vision
The HTL Coalition's mission is to integrate existing data sources to provide a local pediatric injury data system that supports injury prevention activities. Through a collaborative approach, the coalition's vision is to facilitate data sharing between community partners for the purpose of identifying emerging injury patterns and risk factors in the Houston/Harris County, Texas area and to encourage the implementation and evaluation of data-driven interventions for the control of pediatric injuries.

If you are not a member and are interested in joining the coalition, please contact us. We are always looking for persons dedicated to injury prevention and control.
Current coalition funding is through a grant from Texas Department of Transportation and in-kind contributions from Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine.
