Mission Statement
The Department of Molecular Virology and Microbiology was created in late 1999 by a merger of the Division of Molecular Virology and portions of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Its mission is to provide high-quality graduate and postgraduate programs, accomplish significant research, and serve as an institutional resource on microbial agents and infectious diseases.
